In The Footsteps Of Jesus is a product of Pastor E A Adeboye's teaching during one of his pilgrimages to Israel.  This seven chapter book opens with an exposition on treasures.  It sheds light on how to invest wisely and protect our heavenly heritage and material blessings.  It lists a believer's treasures and warns of the need to watch the heart and the kind of riches to avoid.

The subsequent chapters speak of The Race, Jesus' Footsteps, Believer's Testimonials, Servant hood, Fee Will and God's Grace.

Drawing from the in-depth knowledge of scriptures and practical ministerial experiences, Pastor Adeboye admonishes that every Christian's deeds are recorded.  The Christian life is like a marathon and only the steadfast who persevere finish victoriously.

He reminds believer's of the high cost of discipleship and urges diligence and humility in the face of God's unchanging standards.  God would never lower his expectations and believer's must live accordingly as the light of the world, the salt of the earth and the royal priesthood to which they have been called.  Holiness is non-negotiable.  But for the determined, he adds, God's grace id available and sufficient. 

The book elaborates on the concept of discipleship and Jesus promises that his disciples would do greater works (John 14:12).  Such works are possible for ardent followers of Jesus good works as Peter and Paul did.  Pastor Adeboye concludes that following Jesus Footsteps is the choice of the individual but that once made, there should be no looking back.

In The Footsteps Of Jesus is a must for those who seek to follow the Lord closely and shine in their generation through good works even as Jesus Himself did.
